The short answer

If you want to know what you'll pay before you start, Ro is the easiest place to begin: it publishes per-strength prices for generic sildenafil and tadalafil, plus branded Viagra and Cialis. Just remember that the final total depends on how many doses you order and how often they ship.

Good fit if…

  • You want to compare real prices before taking a quiz
  • You want a plain FDA-approved generic (sildenafil or tadalafil)
  • You're curious about a daily low-dose tadalafil option

Look elsewhere if…

  • You specifically want chewable options with lots of flavors — Hims and BlueChew lean harder into those
  • You already have a prescription and a pharmacy you like

What Ro actually sells for ED

Ro splits its ED menu into three groups, and it helps to keep them apart because they are regulated differently:

  • FDA-approved generics: sildenafil (the active ingredient in Viagra) and tadalafil (the active ingredient in Cialis). Same active ingredient as the brands, much lower price.
  • The original brands: Viagra and Cialis themselves.
  • Ro’s own compounded products: Ro Sparks (sildenafil plus tadalafil in one dose) and Daily Rise Gummies (a daily tadalafil gummy). A pharmacy mixes these, and the FDA does not approve or verify compounded drugs.

None of these is “better” in the abstract. They differ in price, in how they’re regulated, and in how you take them. That’s the part a clinician helps you decide.

The price list, in plain English

The full table is above. The short version:

  • Generic sildenafil starts at $2 for the 20 mg strength and goes up to $10 for 100 mg.
  • Generic tadalafil (as needed) is $11 for 5 mg and $44 for 10 or 20 mg.
  • Daily generic tadalafil is $8 at 2.5 mg or 5 mg, with dosing minimums.
  • Branded Viagra is $90. That’s the cost of the name on the pill.

One thing I want you to notice: Ro tells you that your total “may vary based on number of doses and shipping frequency.” The per-strength price is the starting point, not the bill. Look at the dose count and the shipping cadence at checkout before you confirm.

How getting started works

You complete an online visit, a licensed clinician reviews it, and if a prescription is appropriate, medication ships to you in discreet packaging for free. Ro’s pricing page doesn’t state a fee for the visit itself, so check that on the first screen of the visit.

Who Ro is a good fit for

Ro makes the most sense if price transparency matters to you: you can see what sildenafil or tadalafil will cost before you hand over any health information. It is also one of the few services that puts the generics and the brand names on the same page, which makes the “is the brand worth it?” question very concrete.

If chewables and combo products are what you’re after, compare Ro against Hims and BlueChew first; both put more of their lineup into chews.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Full price list is public, strength by strength
  • Offers FDA-approved generics and the original brands side by side
  • Free, discreet shipping
  • Daily tadalafil listed from $8

The catch

  • Two of its headline products (Ro Sparks, Daily Rise Gummies) are compounded, which the FDA does not approve
  • The pricing page doesn't state the online-visit fee
  • Final cost depends on dose count and shipping frequency, so the per-strength price isn't the whole bill
